Steve Bannon, a White House strategist in the first Trump administration, said Monday during his “War Room” podcast that Americans who lost jobs to immigrants using H-1B visas should receive reparations.

“The workers that are here on H-1B visas should be deported at the same time we’re deporting the 15 million illegal aliens [Joe] Biden brought across the border to suppress wages to low-income workers,” Bannon said. “American workers should be hired immediately to fill those gaps, and then we should start the discussions on reparations, on what they knowingly did to American tech workers.”

Bannon broached the topic of H-1B visas after Tesla and X owner Elon Musk last week condemned opposition to the temporary work permit that allows companies to hire foreign workers in specialty occupations.
