The alleged killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was recognized by San Francisco police four days before his arrest, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday.
That is reportedly because Luigi Mangione had been reported missing to San Francisco police in mid-November. Kathleen Mangione reported her son missing to San Francisco police Nov. 18, adding that she had not spoken to him since July.
Two sources told the Chronicle the police recognized the images of Luigi Mangione, the alleged assassin, and contacted the FBI despite claims by authorities he was not on law enforcement’s radar when he was arrested Monday at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
