The Army can take some sort of action against Mark Milley despite President Joe Biden’s pardon of the retired general, said retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer to Newsmax.
“I don’t know about the criminal aspects of that. That’s something scholars are looking at,” Shaffer told the “Chris Salcedo Show” when asked by Salcedo whether the Uniform Code of Military Justice could be used to “bring accountability to Milley for his intent to betray the United States.”
“Can there be a UCMJ, which is separate from federal law, but, you know, related? Can there be some sort of action taken? There is one area that the Army can take action without any regard to any of this issue regarding either UCMJ or federal law or the, the grant of whatever clemency he has and that’s called administrative actions,” Shaffer added.
