The confirmation hearing for Linda McMahon, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for education secretary, will likely be delayed until after Inauguration Day, Politico reported.
According to Sen. Bill Cassidy, chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, the delay stems from the transition team’s incomplete submission of required documentation.
“It really depends on us getting paperwork,” Cassidy explained in an interview with Politico. “Right now, the hold seems to be on their side.”
