Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., told Newsmax on Thursday that Kash Patel, President Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI director, is “the right man for the job at the right time.”
Trump nominated Patel, a former federal prosecutor at the Justice Department, to head the FBI and replace former Director Chris Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 2017 and resigned just before he reentered office.
Britt, in an interview with “Wake Up America,” said that Patel is one of Trump’s “best picks” to lead a federal agency, adding that the president “knew exactly what he was doing” when he nominated Patel.
