Ric Grenell, who will be an envoy for special missions in the second Trump administration, told Newsmax on Wednesday that the attack on New Year’s Eve revelers in New Orleans was “the tip of the iceberg.”
Earlier Wednesday, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, rammed a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens of others before being shot to death by police, according to authorities. Grenell said the nation needs to “hope that this doesn’t happen again in the next two to three weeks.”
“We’ve let 15 million people into this country. We don’t know exactly the extent to the networks that these individuals are using. We have one individual involved here who has been radicalized. We need to know how he was radicalized. I can guarantee you that the FBI already knows exactly how he’s been radicalized,” Grenell said during an appearance on “Finnerty.”
