Reps. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., and Thomas Massie, R-Ky., say leaders of the Jan. 6 House Select Committee honored by President Joe Biden Thursday with the Presidential Citizens Medal for their “exemplary deeds of service for their country,” failed to investigate the two pipe bombs discovered blocks from the U.S. Capitol on the day of the attack.
Biden lauded Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and former Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney for holding a “steadfast commitment to truth.”
Massie and Loudermilk in a joint committee report released Thursday and titled “Four Years Later: Examining the State of the Investigation into the RNC and DNC Pipe Bombs,” said the Jan. 6 committee “chose to overlook the pipe bombs’ existence.”
