Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., made waves at the inauguration of President Donald Trump, arriving to the event in his typical hooded sweatshirt, shorts, and sneakers despite the cold weather emergency declared in Washington, D.C., on Monday.
Fetterman, who’s known for bucking convention and declining to wear formal clothes even in the Senate, arrived at the inauguration and sat in the front row wearing a black Carhartt sweatshirt, gray basketball shorts, and ON sneakers. All other attendees were dressed in formal attire.
Some users on social media blasted the senator, while others praised the Pennsylvania Democrat or poked fun at his clothing.
