Actor Dean Cain said Thursday that “epic mismanagement” and “failure to prepare” on the part of California’s elected officials caused the devastating wildfires that have reduced much of the Los Angeles area to rubble and ash.
“It’s [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom and [LA Mayor] Karen Bass making terrible decisions,” Cain told Newsmax’s “The Chris Salcedo Show.” “And this is the result of those policies. People are dying. Homes are destroyed. Absolute chaos. It looks like someone dropped a nuclear weapon in the middle of Pacific Palisades and cleaned it out.
“It’s the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever seen. The reason I left California is I could see the writing on the wall. These things weren’t being taken care of. They’re diverting money everywhere else. And I was terrified. I said, ‘You know what? I got to go.’ … It’s just absolutely devastating and I feel like it could have been prevented for sure.”
