President Donald Trump’s leadership is “refreshing,” Rep. Vince Fong, R-Calif., said Wednesday to Newsmax.

“The fact that within five days of being sworn in, President Trump traveled to California, showing his hands-on engagement, especially when it comes to wildfire prevention and water, is a testament to the leadership that we need,” Fong told “National Report.”

“Certainly, we’ve been dealing with wildfires and water challenges for a very long time, but the fact that he signed two executive orders to maximize water flows, to streamline the process, to build needed water infrastructure, to coordinate the state and federal water systems, to move more water to Southern California and the Central Valley so that cities and counties and homes and businesses, the water that we use for everyday lives is maximized. That’s very refreshing.”
