As he prepares to serve in a second Trump administration, Sebastian Gorka told Newsmax Monday the Democrats have empowered threats against the United States.

Gorka was appointed deputy assistant to the president and senior director for counterterrorism after President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in November. He previously served as deputy assistant to Trump during the first year of his first administration.

“Four years ago, the anti-American forces of the Democrat Party lit a fuse on a threat that is global against the United States,” Gorka told “Newsline.” “They have empowered global jihadism by Biden’s surrender of Afghanistan, by turning their back on our friends in Israel after the most horrendous loss of life in that nation since the Holocaust.
