Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, told Newsmax on Wednesday that following President-elect Donald Trump’s election, the Department of Justice will likely end its prosecution of Trump.

“My gut tells me,” Jordan told “The Record With Greta Van Susteren,” that the state cases “go away as well.”

“I actually think the Democrats way overplayed this. This political prosecution, I think, backfired on the Democrats.
